Description: MDAT-GoG has reported that a vessel has been attacked and boarded approximately 33nm SSW of Lagos. From AIS tracking, it is likely a reefer vessel on route into Lagos which,
despite carrying out evasive manoeuvres, slowed down from 14kts to drifting.

It is unknown if the pirates are still onboard the vessel. All vessels in the area should maintain high vigilance. There have been cases where pirates have attacked other vessels after a successful attack on a previous vessel.

ARC will update with more information once received.
