Description: MDAT-GoG has reported that a vessel has been attacked and boarded approximately 33nm SSW of Lagos. From AIS tracking, it is likely a reefer vessel on route into Lagos which,
despite carrying out evasive manoeuvres, slowed down from 14kts to drifting.

 

UPDATE: Several sources have reported that 2 crew members (Russian) including the Master were kidnapped. The remaining crew members are reported to have reached the citadel. Two Nigerian Navy vessels are with the vessel, which is still
drifting at the attack location.
