Description: A containership at Lome anchorage, Togo has been reported has experiencing an attempted boarding. 7 or 8 persons tried to use a rope with grappling hooks to board the vessel. Crew on watch saw
the boarding attempt, raised the alarm and fire hoses were activated. This led to boarding attempt being aborted. 

 

Considering recent attacks south of Lomé in last few days and this latest reported incident, vessels in the area should maintain vigilance and report any suspicious activity to local and international authorities.
