1. Columbia Group unveils ambitious plans for ground breaking new digital platform to boost vessel performance

The project, which is a collaboration between Columbia Shipmanagement, Blue Dynamics and the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute, has been two years in the making and is due to be launched in July 2023. 2. Eesti Gaas made agreements for receiving ten LNG cargos

Eesti Gaas has made agreements with LNG terminals to bring a total of ten LNG cargos by the fall of this year – three deliveries to the port of Klaipeda in Lithuania in the winter and seven to the port of Inkoo in Finland in the spring and summer.

3. World Container Index down 1% this past week according to Drewry

The latest Drewry WCI composite index of $2,034 per 40-foot container is now 80% below the peak of $10,377 reached in September 2021. 4. nauticAi launches elog with Finbo Cargo as first paperless vessel

The Åland Islands-based Finnish shipping company Eckerö Group has chosen the Finnish developed nauticAi Logℱ type approved electronic record book for its Finnish flagged RoPax vessel Finbo Cargo. Danish bunker supplier Monjasa has inked a landmark agreement with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP)-managed power-to-x project HØST PtX Esbjerg on logistics and offtake of green ammonia for the maritime sector. 8. Seafarers Seize Cargo Ship Over Unpaid Wages

Four seafarers have seized a cargo ship in Senegal amid a dispute with the shipowner over unpaid wages.
