Description: MDAT-GoG have reported that a vessel was approached by a small craft with 10 persons onboard near to Ghana coast and approximately equidistant between Tema and Lomé. The
small boat requested the vessel to slow down but the vessel carried out evasive manoeuvres and after 20 minutes the small boat stopped following and then left.
Following attacks on fishing vessels in eastern Ghana and Benin waters as well as increased threat alert from the Ghana Navy, all types of merchant and fishing vessels should remain extremely
vigilant and increase security measures.
