Description: Members of communities in Bayelsa State protested in Abuja against the alleged refusal of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) to comply with a Nigerian
Senate resolution that they should be paid 6.9 billion naira. The communities issued a
two-week ultimatum to SPDC, stating that “anything can happen” if the resolution from the Senate was not respected.
