Description: Container vessel en route from Onne to Lagos was chased by a speed boat. The merchant vessel changed course and increased her speed. The speed closed to 3nm but stopped its pursuit
after about 30 minutes. All crew and vessel reported as safe.
This was the second incident involving a container vessel south of Bonny in a 24-hour period.
