INCIDENT OVER
Event: Kidnap (Level 1)

Location: 20nm South West of Forcados Terminal, near Ogbotobo, Nigeria
Position: 05°00’N, 005°30’E
Description: ARC has received a report that a tug boat was attacked whilst underway. 5-7 armed men in a canoe boarded and kidnapped the Captain and two other crew members.
According to local reports, earlier on the 10th August, passenger boats in the area were attacked by the gang, who stole the passenger boats’ outboard engines.
