First cranes arrive as part of USD 300 million Port of Salalah expansion As part of its USD 300 million container terminal upgrade and expansion project, the Port of Salalah received the first four of 10 new ZPMC ship-to-shore cranes this month. Unifeeder Charters More Methanol-Powered Feeder Vessels Unifeeder Group, a part of DP World Marine Services, has finalized a long-term charter agreement to add two more methanol-fueled container feeder vessels to their fleet.The charter agreements were made in collaboration with German ship owning group Elbdeich Reederei and Norwegian shipowner MPC Container Ships, each contributing one vessel. Shipping’s largest sector lags behind in green investments Dry bulk stands out among the major shipping sectors as the least willing to invest in green new tonnage.According to data from AXS Marine, so far only 3% or 915 vessels are equipped with dual fuel propulsion from the total global bulk, tanker and containership fleet of 30,487 ships.
