1. Global Shipping launches the Seafarers Recruitment Campaign Film: “An Adventurous Spirit. The Global Shipping Community celebrated on 25 June, the “Day of the Seafarer”, which was set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) in 2011. 2. Two-year tuition-fee program in Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies in Cyprus. MIEEK is a higher school of vocational education and training offered by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth. It offers 12 two-year tuition-free programs of studies in developing sectors of the economy. 5. Yara Clean Ammonia and Bunker Holding sign an MoU to cooperate in developing the market for ammonia as a shipping fuel. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore opportunities to work together to accelerate plans to supply the shipping industry with ammonia as a fuel. 6. Braemar shares to be suspended as investigation into 2013 case delays annual results. 8. LR1 acquisition takes the Beks fleet to 40 ships. 10. Offshore Wind Company Will Retrain NY Power Plant Union. An offshore wind developer partly owned by TotalEnergies said on Monday it has agreed to retrain and keep roughly 100 union workers from a New York City natural gas-fired power plant that it intends to repurpose for its project.
