1. Bernhard Schulte Offshore orders two CSOVs from Ulstein in Norway. Bernhard Schulte Offshore returns to Ulstein Verft for the design and construction of two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels of the ULSTEIN SX222 design. The contract includes options for four additional vessels. 3. The EU’s 11th package of sanctions against Russia. 4. Shipping set for 3 billion plus 2024 EU ETS bill. 6. Two dead and one missing in Pemex platform fire. Two people were killed and another is missing after a massive fire broke out Friday at the Pemex-operated Nohoch Alfa offshore platform at the Cantarell field in the Gulf of Mexico. The state-owned oil company said some 321 people out of the 328 working on the platform had been successfully evacuated. 7. Iran seizes chemical tanker Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seized a Tanzanian flagged chemical tanker yesterday, 24 hours after Iran had attempted to detain two other ships. The Nada II was widely suspected of being engaged in smuggling activity. 8. MAN to retrofit up to 60 Seaspan and Hapag-Lloyd ships to green methanol. 9. Philippines Raises Alarm Over Increase In Chinese Boats In Disputed Sea. The Philippine military on Friday reported an “alarming” increase in the number of Chinese fishing vessels in disputed waters in the South China Sea, which it said threatens the security of the oil and gas-rich Reed Bank. 10. Tanker Not Involved In Collision In Gulf, Oil Major Says. The Bahamas-flagged Richmond Voyager was not involved in any collision in the Gulf, its manager, U.S. oil major Chevron CVX.N, told Reuters on Friday, after Iran said it had a court order to seize the vessel.
