Date and Time: Statement from group issued to local media on 6 February 2020

 

Location: Niger Delta, Nigeria

 

Description: A group calling itself the
Niger Delta Sea Disciples (NDSD) have issued an ultimatum to the Nigerian Federal Government demanding that:

  1. Professor Charles Dokubo, the Coordinator for the Presidential Amnesty Programme, should be replaced within 21 days.
  2. Payment of 23 months’ worth of payment stipends that are owed.
  3. Restructuring of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

 

The statement from the group concluded,
“Our targeted protest would be peaceful that of course is what we are assuring Nigerians, particularly Niger Deltans and our dear Ex-agitators, some will march to the National Assembly, others
will protest in the major roads across Niger Delta and other undisclosed intellectual steps will be taken”.
