Description: MDAT-GoG have reported that a vessel was boarded by a group of armed persons. From AIS tracking, it looks to be a cargo vessel on route from Douala to Takoradi. MDAT-GoG
have reported the vessel as safe but ARC will investigate and update if any further information on status of crew is available.
UPDATE: 5 crew are reported to have been kidnapped from the vessel, all Ghanaian. Pirates also damaged onboard equipment, including communications and navigation.
