Description: The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has embarked on strike action in ports in the eastern part of Nigeria (Port Harcourt, Onne, Calabar). The strike action was called
due to the sacking of 500 workers who are members of their union by Integrated Logistics Services (INTELS) Nigeria Limited and Associated Maritime Services (AMS) last week. The union stated that strike action would continue until the workers have their jobs
returned.
