Event: Industrial Action – Chevron Nigeria Lagos Headquarters Blocked
Date and Time: Ongoing since 18th December 2019
Location: Warri Refinery, Ekpan, Uvwie LGA, Delta State, Nigeria
Description: Workers under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Starr Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) union have blocked the headquarters of Chevron Nigeria in Lagos.
The workers have threatened to shut down production over alleged non-payment of yearly entitlements, as well as reports that the company was looking to lay off up to 70% of its Nigerian workforce.
