This area is centered around the
Nigerian EEZ south of Lagos, and includes Forcados and Bonga terminals. It is likely this is based on the pirate group which carried out the attack on a bulk carrier on 3 April 2022 moving back towards the Niger
Delta.

It is recommended that all vessels in the area remain extremely vigilant, heighten security onboard and, if possible, make use of available additional security services.

ARC will update if more information becomes available.
