Description: A refrigerated cargo vessel on route to Port Harcourt was attacked by two speed boats. It is not yet confirmed if the pirates fired shots at the merchant vessel. The embarked Nigerian
Navy team onboard the merchant vessel fired warning shots, causing the pirates to move away.

It is highly likely that the pirates will remain in the area following this unsuccessful attack and all vessels should be extremely vigilant.
