Description: Tanker sailing from LomĂ© to Douala was boarded by pirates. Crew mustered in the citadel. Pirates are reported to still be onboard. It is the same vessel that was attacked
on 5 December 2020. Likely same pirate group.

 

UPDATE 1: MDAT-GoG have reported that vessel and crew are safe. ARC will update if this outcome changes.

 

The threat offshore Nigeria remains very high – there has been at least one attack every day since Wednesday 2 December.
