Description: Tanker sailing from Lomé to Douala was boarded by pirates. Crew mustered in the citadel. Pirates are reported to still be onboard. It is the same vessel that was attacked
on 5 December 2020. Likely same pirate group.

 

UPDATE 1: MDAT-GoG have reported that vessel and crew are safe. ARC will update if this outcome changes.

 

The threat offshore Nigeria remains very high – there has been at least one attack every day since Wednesday 2 December.
