4. Green financings concluded for six large container ships on order for Hapag Lloyd
Hapag-Lloyd is breaking new ground in financing by concluding two debut transactions according to the Green Loan Principles of the Loan Market Association (LMA). This has also been verified by an independent expert in the form of a secondary party opinion of the DNV GL. Both transactions are associated with the financing of six ultra-large 23,500 TEU container ships, which were ordered in December 2020.

5. Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) and Dr. Peters Group found a joint venture for ship management, CST/DS Shipmanagement GmbH
The Hamburg-based shipping company Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) and the Dortmund-based investment manager Dr. Peters Group (DPG) establish a joint venture with immediate effect. The company will operate as a further maritime service provider and will be called CST/DS Shipmanagement GmbH. The ship management activities of the DPG subsidiaries DS Tankers and DS Schiffahrt are largely absorbed in the joint venture. The fleet is to be expanded further, especially in the tanker segment.

7. Vietnam port container volumes up 8.5% in 2020, expansion underway
Growth was primarily driven by substantial terminals in Lach Huyen, in central Vietnam, and Cai Mep in the South province of Vung Tau, close to Ho Chi Minh City. 10. Essar Shipping Third Quarter Net Loss Widens To Rs 182 Crore
Essar Shipping on Monday said its consolidated net loss widened to Rs 181.88 crore in the third quarter ended December 2020.
The company had reported a loss of Rs 95.29 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing. Its total income from operations in the December 2020 quarter declined to Rs 103.02 crore, against Rs 387.62 crore in the year-ago period.
