Wärtsilä continues to set the pace for marine decarbonisation with launch of world first 4 stroke engine based ammonia solution Technology group Wärtsilä has introduced the marine sector’s first commercially available 4-stroke engine-based solution for ammonia fuel. The new solution enables a significant advance in sustainable shipping operations – during a time in which ship owners are seeking viable options among green fuels. 2. Stolt Tankers becomes Green Award incentive provider Stolt Tankers’ inland service has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability by joining Green Award as an incentive provider. The Green Award is a voluntary quality assessment certification scheme that inspects and certifies ships. Asia Fuel Oil-VLSFO refining margins rise further on tight supplies Refining margins for very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) extended gains on Tuesday amid persisting tight supplies, market participants said. Singapore’s December 0.5% VLSFO crack closed at a premium of $13.94 a barrel, up from $12.85 on Friday, LSEG data showed. Ukraine grain exports via new Black Sea corridor hit 4 mln T says Zelenskiy Ukraine’s exports through an alternative Black Sea shipping corridor have reached almost four million metric tons since the route started operating in August, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday. Petrobras sets sights on e-methanol with Maersk’s future fuel supplier Brazilian state-controlled energy giant Petrobras has signed an agreement with Maersk’s future fuel supplier, European Energy, to evaluate e-methanol business opportunities.
