6. Euronav announces fleet expansion Euronav announced an agreement to lift the option for a second VLCC new build. In August we announced the purchase of the first VLCC newbuilding and the option to purchase a second one. This option has now been lifted. The purchase will cost USD 112.2 million with highly favourable payment terms and schedule. 10. World’s first LNG-fuelled panamax commences operation The world’s first LNG-fuelled panamax bulk carrier has started operating. The coal carrier, owned by Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and on charter to Kyushu Electric Power (Kyuden), was built at Oshima Shipyard and is called Shoyo.
