The Gdynia Maritime School is a company existing since 1998. It’s a founding member of the Polish Chamber of Maritime Economy and a member of the National Forum of Non-Public Education and the Polish Maritime Industry Forum. The school is active in the Polish Maritime Cluster, being in its authorities. In July 1998, the School obtained an international quality certificate according to ISO 9001: 2000 standards for the organization and conduct of maritime training, awarded by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. The Gdynia Maritime School runs: 1.) a non-public Maritime Post-secondary School educating in the professions of navigator officer and marine ship mechanic officer, 2.) a non-public educational facility (Training Center) training seafarers and officers of sea-going ships, employees of the maritime economy as well as sailors and motorboats, 3.) publishing activities in the field of preparing and publishing scripts and textbooks thematically related to the training courses. Our teaching staff consists of 130 best educators and practitioners in their field with many years of professional experience in working on sea ships, including instrumental at the Maritime University of Gdynia, currently the Maritime University, in shipping companies and Maritime Administration, and in the management of institutions, including SDK (Study of Personnel Improvement). For all our foreign students/trainees, we offer help in organizing accommodation as well as transport from and to the airport.
