Webinar Invitation – Maritime MRV: Are you ready?

The EU Regulation 2015/757 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2015 on the monitoring, reporting and verification of carbon dioxide emissions from maritime transport came into force on 1 July 2015. The Regulation is a binding legal instrument and requires large ships (over 5 000 gross tons and regardless of their flag) calling at EU ports from 1st January 2018 to collect and later report verified annual data on CO2 emissions and other relevant information.
SGS, as an active member of the MRV subgroup on Verification and Accreditation, has contributed together with its subgroup peers, in expressing views and in adopting a common position on main elements of the verification of CO2 emissions. These views shall be translated into rules under the delegated acts.
