Description: MDAT-GoG have reported a vessel being boarded by armed persons with a ladder about 70nm SSW of Cotonou in the Benin EEZ. Vessel not confirmed however there
are several merchant vessels (bulk/cargo and tankers) in the area.

 

Update: Vessel was drifting when 2 persons were seen near the bridge. Alarm was sounded and a skiff was seen alongside on the starboard side with a ladder. The crew went to the citadel,
and vessel sailed at full speed towards Tema, Ghana. On arrival at Tema, the Ghana Navy boarded, and no unauthorised persons were found onboard. All safe.
