Description: Whilst sailing from Luba to an offshore field, an OSV was attacked by pirates on 2 speed boats. Initial reports have stated that seafarers were kidnapped
– this is still to be confirmed.

 

Update: It has been confirmed that 7 crew members (with 3 different nationalities) were kidnapped from the vessel. Equatorial Guinea sent two Navy vessels to assist the vessel and arrived at about 0930hrs
local.
