Description: IMB have reported that a vessel was attacked by pirates. All crew are reported to be in the citadel. Nigerian Navy authorities have been informed and are
responding. However, AIS data does not show any security vessel near to the position yet.

Update: Pirates left the vessel with ship’s belongings, but no crew kidnapped. Vessel is still drifting, with a privately-owned escort vessel nearby that was likely redirected
to the vessel’s position by the Nigerian Navy.

The threat to vessels remains in the area, as attack was unsuccessful, pirates are likely still in the area.
