Description: A vessel was attacked near Brass, Nigeria. Vessel (possibly a containership) has been reported as safe by MDAT-GoG.

 

Update: Vessel on route to Port Harcourt was fired on by 15 pirates in one speedboat. Containership carried out anti-piracy manoeuvres and the embarked Nigerian Navy team returned
fire at the pirates. This lead to the pirates aborting the attack and leaving the area. Vessel safe.
