Description: A bulk carrier drifting deep offshore Ghana has been attacked by pirates. Crew have mustered in the citadel and pirates have boarded the vessel.
UPDATE 1: MDAT-GoG have advised that the pirates are still onboard with crew in the citadel. Further updates to follow.
UPDATE 2: Vessel is being escorted into Lagos by a Nigerian security escort vessel. No crew reported as kidnapped.
Incident is over however threat to vessels remains offshore as it is likely that pirates are still in the area following the unsuccessful attack on this vessel.
