Description: ARC has received a report that a vessel has come under attack in the Joint Development Zone, approx. 230nm SW of Bonny, Nigeria. Crew are reportedly in the citadel.

 

UPDATE 1: Reliable sources have confirmed that vessel under attack is a containership. Report states that gunfire has been heard.

 

UPDATE 2: MDAT-GoG have reported that the attack is over and vessel is now underway with an escort. A reliable source states that all crew are safe.

 

As attack was unsuccessful, the risk to other vessels in the area remains high.
