Description: MDAT-GoG have reported that a vessel experienced a suspicious approach whilst sailing from Tema to Cameroon. Crew are reported to be in the citadel. Based on AIS data, vessel’s
speed has slowed to just over 1kt. Incident is still ongoing – reduction in speed could either be due to no navigation with crew in citadel, or due to successful boarding by pirates.

UPDATE 1: Incident reported as over and all crew safe. Vessel is continuing its sail to next port.
