THREAT AGAINST OIL & GAS INSTALLATIONS

Location: Niger Delta, Nigeria
 
Description: A militant group called “The Niger Delta Musketeers” have released a statement threatening Chevron installatios in the Niger Delta region, labelling it “Operation Black September”.
 
The group demanded that Chevron re-classify all indigenous trainees and that all expatriate workers leave the region in the next 21 days.
 

The statement named the following Chevron facilities in their statement:

• Okan
• Meji
• Meta
• Meren
• Abiteye
• Opuekeba
• Sonam
• Agbami FPSO
• Chevron Tank Farm, Escravos
• Escravos GTL Gas Plant

Chevron facilities have previously been attacked by militant groups in 2016.
