THREAT AGAINST O&G INSTALLATIONS AND EXPATRIATES

Event: Militant threats

Date and Time: 9th November 2017

Location: Niger Delta, Nigeria

Description: The militant group, the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders (NRDC) have stated that the ceasefire declared last year is over, and that they will join forces with the Niger Delta Avengers to destroy
oil facilities in the Niger Delta region.

The group identified the terminals of Agbami, Akpo, Usan, Erna, Abo, Yoho, Unity and Benga FPSO, as well as platforms operated by Chevron, Total, Mobil, Shell and Agip as under threat, warning expatriate and
Nigerian workers that their safety “can no longer be guaranteed”.

The group stated that the decision to end the ceasefire was due to the Nigerian government’s failure to address issues in the Niger Delta.

ARC will update should more information be received.
