Description: A containership at anchor at Pointe Noire was boarded by 3 or 4 persons. The crew spotted them on the forecastle of the vessel, raised the alarm and withdrew into the citadel.
A patrol vessel was dispatched to the vessel’s position and an inspection was carried out. In the morning a search was carried out and it was noticed that two mooring ropes had been stolen. It was reported that the thieves gained access to the vessel via the
anchor chain.
