Description: 6 men on a wooden boat boarded the LPG tanker at Takoradi anchorage and stole 5 buckets of paint. The crew raised the alarm and a Takoradi port authority
sent a patrol boat which arrested the wooden boat with the men onboard. All safe.
UPDATE – It has been confirmed that contrary to initial reports, there was no boarding of the LPG tanker
by persons from a wooden boat, nor were any items stolen from the vessel. Officer on watch sighted the boat, raised the alarm and the boat moved away. Port authority received a call from the tanker to report this and the port sent a patrol boat to the area.
