Description: A skiff with 8 persons on board came within 1nm of a vessel transiting to Lagos. The embarked Nigerian Navy security team on board the merchant vessel were
alerted and were ready to respond. The skiff then reduced its speed and departed. Vessel confirmed as safe.
This is the second time in 2 weeks that an embarked armed Nigerian Navy team have responded to a threat to the merchant vessel.
