Description: Containership sailing from Lagos to Port Harcourt reported a suspicious approach by a speedboat south west of Bonny. The vessel increased her speed up to over 18kts, carried
out evasive manoeuvres and continued her sail towards Port Harcourt. All safe.
Threat in the area still remains, as it is likely that pirates will remain in the area and attempt further attacks on vessels.
