Description: A vessel on route from Lomé to Abidjan was approached by a skiff with 9 or 10 persons on board. The vessel carried out evasive manoeuvres and increased her speed. All safe
and vessel is continuing on its route.

 

Vessels in the area and to the east of the area should be vigilant for small craft approaching their vessel. There has been a pattern of approaches on vessels in one area and then an attack further east as the pirates move back towards
Nigeria.
