Description: A tug boat, described as “rusty” with a black superstructure and white hull, has been reported deep offshore in the Gulf of Guinea. The vessel reportedly has no name and
is not transmitting on AIS.
ARC comment: This information is received from a regional Naval force. All vessels transiting the area just south of the EEZs of Ghana, Togo and Benin should remain
extremely vigilant. ARC will update if/when further information is received.
