Description: A merchant vessel has stated that it is under attack at 2300UTC in Cotonou anchorage.
Update: Unauthorised persons were seen onboard the vessel. Alarm was raised, Master sent SSAS alert and crew mustered in citadel. Through IMB PRC, the Benin Navy dispatched
3 patrol boats to the vessel and the Navy personnel boarded the tanker. After a search, no unauthorised persons were found on board and the Navy oversaw the crew departing the citadel. All crew reported as safe.
