Event: Industrial Action – NUPENG threaten industrial action

Description: The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has threatened to go on strike after the management of the Port Harcourt Refinery Company
(PHRC) sacked 175 casual workers.
NUPENG have given PHRC 72 hours to reverse the decision, otherwise it would stop the operations of all tanker drivers and petrol station workers, ultimately stopping
the supply of petrol.
