INCREASED THREAT TO SHIPPING
Event: Report of increased threat to shipping
Date: 9 November 2021
Description: MDAT-GoG have updated that there is an increased threat to shipping of piracy in the following area:
- 05°00’N, 005°00’E
- 05°00’N, 007°30’E
- 02°30’N, 007°30’E
- 02°30’N, 005°00’E
It is recommended that all vessels in the area remain extremely vigilant, heighten security onboard and, if possible, make use of available additional security services.
