Description: A tanker sailing from Lomé to Douala has been boarded by pirates at the edge of the Nigerian EEZ. Crew have mustered in the safe haven.

UPDATE 1: MDAT-GoG have reported that the pirates have left the vessel and that crew and vessel are safe.

If MDAT-GoG report is correct and pirates were unsuccessful in kidnapping any crew, the threat in the area remains. There has been an incident every day since Wednesday 2 December, likely carried out by the same group.
