Description: A tanker on route from Lomé to Douala has been reported as attacked. Vessel is now drifting offshore Nigeria, and is not responding to calls from CSO or MDAT-GoG. Local authorities
have been informed.

 

UPDATE: IMB have reported that the pirates have left the vessel and crew are safe. Equipment on board has been damaged by the pirates.

 

The threat in the area remains as the pirate group will still be active and now looking for their next target. All vessels within 100nm should exercise extreme caution. ARC will update if further information is received.
