Description: Bulk carrier transiting from Lagos to Onne was approached on port side by speed boat with 5-7 persons on board. Search light was switched on and speed boat passed astern of the vessel on starboard
quarter and began firing at the vessel with 3 shots hitting the bridge. The alarm was raised and speed increased and the speed boat was left behind. Vessel and crew all safe.
