Description: A tanker sailing south from a Nigerian offshore terminal was attacked by pirates whilst sailing west of Port Gentil. A small craft was launched from a larger vessel and attempted
to board the tanker using ladders. The tanker carried out evasive manoeuvres and increased its speed. The boarding attempt was unsuccessful and the vessel escaped with all crew safe.
