Description: A report has been received that a merchant vessel is under attack 35nm SW of Bonny Fairway Buoy.
UPDATE 0145hrs 26/10/17: It has been reported that the pirates boarded the merchant vessel and the crew retreated to the citadel.
UPDATE 1200hrs 26/10/17: At 0900hrs 26
October 2017, crew were still in citadel and vessel was sailing off course on a north west bearing at 3 knots.
It has since been confirmed that 2 pirates originally boarded the vessel.
At 1200hrs 26/10/17 Vessel and crew are confirmed as safe and escorted by a Nigerian Navy vessel.
