Description: ARC has received a report that a vessel was attacked near Okwori Terminal, Nigeria.
Update: The vessel was attacked by pirates and all crew assembled in the citadel. The distress call was received on VHF Ch 16 by several vessels and offshore installations. A Nigerian Navy vessel attended
the vessel and the pirates left. The vessel and crew are safe.
The pirates are still believed to be in the area. All shipping should operate at a high level of security awareness.
