Description: MDAT-GoG have received a report of a possible attack on a tanker offshore Abidjan, Ivory Coast EEZ. According to other reports, ship-owner has had no contact with vessel
since yesterday evening.

 

All vessels in the area should operate at heightened vigilance due to following:

• If attack and hijack is confirmed, pirates may use vessel to stage additional attacks.
  
• If attack is confirmed but failed, pirates may attack other vessels in the area.
  
• This report follows on from intelligence report issued yesterday about a suspicious vessel reported in western Ghanaian EEZ.
