Description: The militant group New Delta Avengers have issued a threat to resume attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta if all oil and gas activities are not suspended by midnight on June 30th
2017, in an operation called “Operation Cripple Oil and Gas Production”. They described the potential attacks as “bloody, destructive and vengeful”.
Update: In an open letter issued on 28th June 2017, the New Delta Avengers have withdrawn their threat to attack oil facilities after midnight on 30th June. The reason given behind
this withdrawal was to “give peace a chance” and support ongoing negotiations.
